Hello World

I haven't posted in over a month.
Today is really the first day in weeks I have actually had time to sit down and gather all my thoughts together in order to write in my blog.  I also have Internet so that helps also.
In the last couple of months I have sold a house, moved from Hawaii to Georgia, took some vacation time and I had a baby.  Yes, my baby came. And she came about 3 weeks early.

The day we brought her home from the hospital.

So with every birth of a baby comes an interesting story. Our truck came into Orlando last week and we decided we would go pick up the truck and then go visit Anthony's family who lives about 2 1/2 hours from Orlando in the opposite direction.  We were only supposed to spend the weekend at his family's house.  Early Monday morning around 3:30 am I woke up thinking that I peed myself.  I was really embarrassed and I got out of bed and realized that I was still leaking.  I panicked when I realized that my water broke.  I woke up Anthony who asked me several times if I was sure.  As soon as he saw water gush out (ew sorry for the details) he knew I wasn't joking.  I started to have a mini panic attack in the bathroom.  I was not ready to give birth.  Nope. Not ready at all. And not only was I not ready, but we were 5 hours away from my hospital and doctor.  I called my doctor who told me to not attempt the drive back up to Georgia and go to the nearest hospital.

Can you believe the one weekend we went away I went into labor?  Thankfully the hospital I went to was very patient with me and listened to my wishes of how I wanted my birth to go.  Although they threw around the words "pitocin" and "epidural" more than twice, I stood my ground and continued to refuse until little miss Zoe Rae was born October 16th at 1:11 am.  She was 6 pounds and 7 ounces; she was 19 inches long.  Although she was early, she was perfect.  She must have been ready to get out of there.  I blame my father-in-law and his lamb burger he fed me for dinner!
