The Magical World of My Wonderful Job

I am so excited about this week's grand opening of the resort I work at! Finally, after all the hard work everyone has put into this magical place it is getting ready for the teeth of the media. I got to take my lover on a tour around the place and I think he captured some great photos!

This is Aulani- A Disney Resort and Spa. This resort is Disney's first stand-alone resort. It features Disney Club Villas AND hotel rooms. Disney has done a wonderful job of staying true to the Hawaiian culture. They even grow their own taro plants which makes poi for all their restaurants.

Above are some views you may see walking through the "valley". The valley has a lot of water activities including a scuba tank, an interactive sting ray pool, a very large Koi tank, a HUGE lazy river, multiple pool areas including a water play area for children 4 feet and under.

My favorite part. The wedding lawn. How amazing is this? Can you imagine getting married at this location, looking over the lagoon? You can even have an event on this lawn, we just throw up some tables and add the ambiance and BAM, an event people will continue to talk about for years.

Although the resort isn't a typical Disney Adventure, Disney did a great job incorporating fine details into every inch of the resort. The picture above is taken in "The Lava Shack" a poolside shop. It reminds me of every little shack around the Northshore of the Island. On the outside it even had a bunch of license plates that surrounded the door.

The resort from a far. A wonderful magical place that everyone must experience. I am not just saying that because I work there. In fact, I babysit for a couple who recently brought their children to the character breakfast and they said it was one of the best experiences that they have had in Hawaii.
