I have to share this, before you get pregnant just think about all the food you are not allowed to eat. No cold cuts, no seafood, all your meat has to be cooked well-done and no more fried foods.
Now...
Think about all the food you will make and not eat.
The other night I wanted beef stew terribly. I cooked beef stew for the whole day. Then when I went to eat it BLACHHHHHFFFFFF
I ended up throwing it all away.
Tonight, all I wanted was some chicken lo mein from the chinese place down the street (I live in Hawaii so we have "authentic" chinese food). I took it home and opened the container and BLAHHHRRRFFFF
My love of food is slowly dwindling away.
No seafood? I don't think I could handle that.
ReplyDelete(Just kidding, I really want children some day...way off in the distance.) :)
I hope food issues get better for you! :)
I don't know where you are getting your information but seafood is allowed, meat doesn't have to be well cooked, and fried foods are fine. Just like anything else its moderation.
ReplyDeleteI have to look into the seafood all he said that was ok was canned tuna once a week. The fried food is because I don't have a gallbladder, my body can't process excess fat which apparently makes things complicated because I am pregnant. Apparently it will make me feel worse then usual.
Deleteits suggested to have several servings of seafood a week. you just have to check where it come from and what is safe to eat from where.
ReplyDeletealso, my second pregnancy i didnt have a gallbladder either , and i didnt have any problems with fried foods.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks so much, I obviously have no idea what I am doing!
DeleteI agree with other comments about seafood; my sister-in-law was able to eat some fish while pregnant. Not lox, or the others that contain mercury... you'd have to look into it. She didn't eat shellfish, but she's allergic to that, so I don't know anything about shellfish restrictions.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a place to come and attack the blogger. It doesn't affect you if she doesn't think she can eat something. She isn't writing a how-to book on being pregnant. Maybe her dr told her something different and she is just listening to them. Chill out and don't come to someone's blog to spread negativity.
ReplyDeletedon't worry. that will pass. my wife went through a few bad weeks in the first trimester, and she feels much better now. good luck
